How to Upload Funny Videos on YouTube

One of the funniest things I ever saw was a clip from Another Cinderella Story when one of the ‘evil stepsisters’ called a phone operator from her mobile phone and asked if she could be connected to YouTube. The movie was fun, but that was one hilarious clip if I ever saw one. This leads us to the main subject: just what can YouTube offer to the millions of internet users that has made it one of the most popular sharing websites on the internet today?

To make a long lecture really short, YouTube is a free online service for videos which practically allows everybody in the world to view, upload and share their videos so it could be viewed by everyone who has an internet connection, be it on a pc, a laptop or an Android powered cell phone.

This should lead to the next question: if someone has a really funny video they want to share to the rest of the world, how can the video be uploaded? Now for many who are already familiar with utube, this could be pretty easy, but for millions of others, it can be quite daunting. Until they find out that it is one of the simplest processes ever devised and even a kid can do it, literally as has been proven time and again by the site itself. So here goes.

First of all, you need to have a YouTube account. So you need to go to the site, and then sign up for the free membership. Once you are a member you can do a lot of things like creating a viewing playlist and make comments on the numerous videos available there.

If you are to upload a video there, it will stay online forever, until such time when you decide to remove it from the library of videos. But, YouTube may also have the right to remove any videos if it is in violation of the terms of use like adult content or copyright infringements. Read the terms of use so you are familiar with what or what you cannot upload.

For the uploading itself, once you have created an account, look for the ‘Upload Videos’ option located on the upper right hand corner of the home page. Simply because you are on the page does not necessarily mean that you are logged in. so log in first.

When you click on the Upload option, you will be asked to complete information that relates to the video that you are uploading. You need to type in a title, description and tags. All of these should contain the keywords so it is easier for the millions of viewers to get directed to your video. Last, you need to choose a category and language setting. Once done, you click on the ‘Go Upload a File” option.

It would be nice to point out that your funny video will appear in the search results pages of Google. So if someone is looking for a funny video or a hilarious video, the one that you uploaded would be listed on the first pages of the SERPs.

Last, you will be asked if the video is going to be private or public. Choose your option, and then click on ‘Upload Video.” A window will pop out with the title page of Video Upload (Step2 of 2) and Browse. Click on Browse to find the video in your computer and then click again to ‘Upload Video’ option. It is as simple as that.
